RSS Feeds.To Clarify Many Misunderstandings

Many bloggers are misguided by thinking that be placing the words RSS Feeds in their Blog title will enable others to be logged into their posts. That has been and still is an incorrect procedure and has no effect whatsoever in the RSS subscribers universe,.At the right  top of each page is the RSS link that you need to  do certain steps to make it effective. This is a direct copy of the Ebay info found at the help link adjacent to the RSS Feed subscripription link as mentioned.

What is a feed?

A "feed" is a summary of Web content that is updated on a regular basis. It is a way for users to keep informed of a Web site's latest changes. The feed format that eBay uses is Really Simple Syndication (RSS) 2.0.

Feeds help eBay make content more accessible, and they allow you to easily see new content. A summary or "headline" view lets you quickly scan recent content changes, and headlines are linked to their appropriate content.

How to subscribe to a feed

Before you subscribe to a feed, you'll need an RSS reader or aggregator to view content in RSS. Several free and commercial RSS readers are available on the Internet. Once you have an RSS reader, simply right-click on an RSS link, copy the URL, and paste it into your reader to display the content in RSS.

The eBay Stores, eBay Discussion Boards, eBay General Announcement Board and System Announcement Board are places where content is changing on a regular basis. To make it easy for you to see recent changes and updates on these Stores and boards, you can view their content in RSS.

It is a shame to see so many confused and thinking that they are actively attempting to promote their stores and merchandise based on a false premise.

What is accomplished by posting key words that will be picked up by the search engines is very beneficial and can direct many customers to your store and your blog posts.

Also knowing what types of key words are not allowed on Ebay will assist the sellers in having  more professional listings resulting in much fewer removals for violations:

For the many rules and guidelines on listings to prevent errors open the site map at the top of each page, select A_Z Index at the right hand column, select the letter L and every thing you can think of concerning Ebay beginning with the letter L appears.Look at the many subsets of listings. That site map holds the answers to anything you want to know about Ebay and very few utilize it.

The RSS feeder gets spidered by several search engines...But putting an actualy TRAFFIC DRIVING title on your post will be more useful for the blog poster...

Also all of those avid blog DELETERS are in essence doing nothing good for their business...When they post their items for sale then DELETE them immediately, the search engine has NOT had enough time to index your page...If your page is not indexed no one will see it...

Ergo NO traffic to your website, blog or listings...

Sellers don't understand good keywords to drive the search engines is indicitive of the lack of sales. Those bloggers who understand this concept like: healythyjerky4u,shrty,marty,gymmom and a few others,do well. The others struggle along and just wonder why things don't come their way.it is because of lack of knowledge and apathy in searching out how to better their operations.

RSS is a powerful tool, if one knows the IN's & OUT's of it uses...It takes about 24-72 hours for the spider to actually index your webpage, blog and/or listings...

So it's much better to keep your blog up and not delete...Those titles aka keywords will drive traffic to you blog, webpage and/or listings for many years to come...

Posting pictures on eBay Blogs and/or other Blogs:

Host your pictures on line at a free service such as www.photobucket.com

In the posting blog area of eBay, you will see a view source place to click. Click that or the HTML area of other blogs then copy (cont'l C) the HTML view of your picture on photobucket. Paste (cont'l V) into the view source area of the blog.  Unclick the view source or go to standard view on other blogs and you will see your picture.
RSS Readers can be selected from the many lists at:
